insurance claim on behalf of a patient. We'll teach you how
to fill out a CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services)
electronically and in paper form-daily tasks that are crucial
in this field. You'll also gain knowledge in Medical Terminology,
Anatomy & Physiology, Medical Billing & Insurance,
Medical Ethics and Law, and Pharmacology. Additionally, you'll
gain an understanding of the growing importance of security
and privacy of medical records - HIPAA (Healthcare Insurance,
Portability & Accountability Act). Upon the successful
completion of all classes, you'll serve an Externship that
provides invaluable practical experience under the supervision
of a cooperating physician's office, clinic, or other healthcare
facility. Our Medical Administration Certificate Program provides
the foundation to pursue further training in Medical Coding and Billing.

Professional Coder) certification. Additionally, you'll gain
preparation for the AHIMA, American Health Information Management
Association, CCS (Certified Coding Specialist) and CCA (Certified
Coding Associate) certifications. Our Medical Coding program
provides the foundation to pursue an advanced degree in Health
Information Management. If you are interested in this program
you must either possess a Medical Administration Program certificate
or have a minimum 3 years recent experience in an Administrative
Healthcare career.
